How To Perform Follow-Up Attacks In Honkai Star Rail

Players can influence Follow-up attacks by fulfilling a character's specific combat requirements, but there is no physical button that needs to be pressed in order to activate a Follow-up attack. 

Several characters in Honkai Star Rail have the ability to perform Follow-up attacks. Clara is an obvious example and one of the easiest to use. Clara's Talent counts as a Follow-up attack. Whenever Clara is attacked, she will counterattack the enemy. This counterattack is considered a Follow-up attack and receives all the benefits given to Follow-up attacks from Light Cones and Simulated Universe Blessings. March 7th also has a Follow-up attack which activates whenever a shielded ally is attacked. 

Himeko is another character who can perform Follow-up attacks. Whenever three enemies are affected by Weakness Break, Himeko will activate her Follow-up attack. Similarly, with Jing Yuan, when the Lightning-Lord has charged up enough stacks, it will activate an AOE follow-up attack. 

Follow-up attacks are simply part of a character's kit in Honkai Star Rail. While some benefits can boost their power with specific Light Cones, Follow-up attacks get a huge upgrade in Simulated Universe by choosing the Path of Elation.
